Richard Sandoval Hospitality (RSH) is comprised of owned and operated venues, as well as licensed operations.  The Graphic Designer is responsible for the design, development, distribution, inventory and performance assessment of print and digital collateral, marketing materials, and any other creative assets required to build awareness, drive traffic and increase revenues at RSH operations.   

The Graphic Designer will contribute to the development of RSH brand identities and style guides and ensure adherence to style guides across all platforms.  When relevant the Graphic Designer will liaise with external branding and graphic design agencies and apply brand ids and style guides provided by such agencies.  The Graphic Designer will work with the Marketing and Licensing teams to develop templates and provide creative support outlined in each individual licensing agreement.   


Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • General
    • Promote a company culture in which internal and external customer satisfaction is the primary concern
    • Join relevant organizations and associations 
    • Maintain knowledge of competition and industry trends
  • Team Relations & Management
    • Develop solid working relationships across departments
    • Establish clear channels of communication across departments
    • Interface with all departments to create and execute creative marketing initiatives
    • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and other members of the Marketing Team to execute tasks per guidelines established by the Director of Marketing
    • Participate in marketing meetings as requested by the VP and Director of Marketing 
      • Present graphic design development plans
      • Report on ongoing initiatives; gather feedback and adjust as necessary
  • Graphic & Digital Design Trends, Strategies & Tactics
  • Branding
    • Create brand identities and style guides as needed
    • Apply brand identities and style guides developed by external agencies
    • Monitor and enforce application of style guides across all platforms
  • Creative Assets
  • Creative Design, Development & Distribution
  • -Build library of creative assets
  • -Develop print templates for each concept
  • -Develop branding concepts for new development projects: look & feel, menu mock-ups, key visuals
  • -Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on the curation of digital assets including, but not limited to, graphics, photography and video
  • -Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on the development of digital marketing templates for each concept
  • -Design, develop, manage the distribution and monitor inventory of print materials including but not limited to
    • Menus
    • Posters
    • Flyers
    • Postcards
    • Print ads
    • Branded marketing materials
  • -Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on the design, development and distribution of all digital collateral including but not limited to
    • Email blasts
    • Creative for web sites
    • Social media creative posts and ads
  • -Budgeting
    • Develop and work within budget
    • Track and manage expenses to meet budget on a period, quarter and annual basis

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field required
  • 3 years relevant experience in creative field required; Retail and/or Restaurant industry experience preferred
  • Strong online portfolio reflecting print, traditional and digital design experience required
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of excellence required
  • Strong understanding of design, copy, typography, layout, photography, and effective use of marketing materials to communicate messages to the consumer
