We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic person with an outstanding personality, has a passion for crafting cocktails in a high volume setting, and solid communication and customer service skills to join our team of skilled Bartenders for our Drink and Ellis Bars in downtown Austin!!

Ellis Bar is a busy, fast-paced bar with an expansive outdoor space. We need someone who has at least 2-3 years of bartending experience and who loves creating exciting new cocktails as well as crafting all the traditional ones. Our Drink bar is located inside the Foodhall. We are open from 11am until 9pm 7 days. We serve a number of craft beers, frozen drinks, barista coffees and all the other Liquor, Beer and Wine offerings. 

Each bar has its own daily specials menu along with a traditional offering during certain times of the day.

Position Summary:

Looking for bartenders who enjoy what they do, love learning new cocktail recipes, and work with a team who values your ideas! 

Tasks and Responsibilities:       

·       Ability to mix cocktails precisely, maintaining flavor profile and proper alcohol content.

·       Able to service bar tables and bar simultaneously, as determined by management.

·       Ability to sell alcohol and food items.

·       Complete knowledge of Ellis Bar food options.

·       Ability to interact with guests in a genuinely friendly and efficient manner.

·       Complete side-work specific to bar operations.

·       Ensure total cleanliness of the bar at all times (we hate bugs).

·       Check identification to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.

·       Ensure guest’s complete satisfaction and strive to exceed guest’s expectations.

·       Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

·       Other duties as directed.

Essential Physical Requirements

Able to work standing up and walking during entire shift, in varying temperatures

·       Able to continuously reach, carry, lift, bend, stoop and wipe.

·       Pulling and pushing up to 50 pounds.

·       Common hazards include but are not limited to burns, falls, slipping, tripping, and cuts.

·       Personal hygiene is a must.

Requirements

·       Must be TABC Certified.

·       Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

·       Basic math skills required.

·       Ability to read and write.

·       Computer proficiency.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Multi-tasking and able to move in a fast-paced environment.

·       Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

·       2 years of bartending experience.
